Not directly. PDFs store text as positioned glyphs rather than reflowable paragraphs, so retyping a line in place is not something the format supports without a commercial layout engine. The practical workaround is built in: use the whiteout tool to cover the old text, add a text box on top with the new wording, then export a flattened copy so the result is permanent.

Freehand ink that has been saved and reopened can be moved, resized, and deleted, but not recolored, because the system stores reopened ink as a fixed appearance rather than as editable stroke data. Recoloring works normally during the session in which you drew it. If you need a different color after saving, delete the stroke and redraw it.

If the PDF has real form fields in it, switch to Select mode and tap or click any field to type into it. If the form is just a flat scan with lines printed on it, use text boxes to type on top of it, then export flattened.

Use the export option for an encrypted copy. The original file is left untouched and a new password protected version is written alongside it.
