Privacy Policy

.PDFi for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Last updated July 24, 2026.

The short version: .PDFi does not collect any data. It has no account system, no analytics, and no network access. Documents you open stay on your device.

What I collect

Nothing. I do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. There is no sign in, no registration, and no way for me to identify you or your device.

Your documents

Every PDF you open, annotate, sign, or export is processed entirely on your device. Files are never uploaded to a server, mine or anyone else's, because the app does not make network requests at all. If you save a file to iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or a similar service, that happens through the file provider you chose and is governed by that provider's own privacy policy, not this one.

Signatures

Signatures and initials you create are stored locally on your device so they are available the next time you open a document. If you have iCloud enabled for the app, they may sync between your own devices through Apple's iCloud, which is encrypted and accessible only to you. I have no access to them.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. .PDFi contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service, and no third party trackers of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.

Third parties

The app bundles no third party services or libraries that collect data. If you choose to share a document using the system share sheet, printing, or another app, that handoff is controlled by the app or service you select.

Children

.PDFi is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Since no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to access, correct, or delete personal data a developer holds about you. I hold none, so there is nothing to request, export, or erase. Deleting the app removes everything it stored locally.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of .PDFi ever adds a feature that requires collecting data, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the release notes.
